FLOATING GALLERY FRAMES WITH SPACERS FOR PHOTOS AND ART ON PAPER
These custom floating gallery frames with spacers were designed to separate the artwork from the glazing when the artwork is mounted on a matboard and not matted. This presentation is used when it is important to see the edges of the artwork. The art may have a deckled edge or may come completely to the edge. It is also used on artwork that is dimensional or doesn't lie flat. All gallery frames are available in all the Metropolitan woods and finishes and because we are a manufacturer we can offer many purchasing options.

Profile 101 is our most popular custom wood frame for "floating" artwork on mat board. It was designed to accommodate a 1/2" spacer and a 3/4" strainer. ThE 102 custom wood thin floating gallery frame was designed to accommodate a 1/2" spacer and 1/2" strainer. It is mostly commonly used for artwork that is "floating" on 4 or 8 ply museum mat board. Because it is thin we recommend spline joining and strainers to add stability and strength to the artwork package. All our gallery frames with spacers are available in 5 woods and 30 finishes. The 102UT ultra thin floating gallery frame was designed to accommodate a 1/2" spacer and 1/2" strainer.
